While staying with family on the West Indian Island of St. Vincent, I became obsessed with the ruins of the old sugar mills that peppered the island. Learning about their history was intriguing (and horrible at times.) Still the shape of the mills inspired me to do some sketching. Here are inside views of a mill converted to a hermit’s home.
